Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Restoration Technician to support water mitigation, fire/smoke cleanup, and mold remediation projects in residential and commercial properties. This role requires professionalism, consistency in documentation, and the ability to follow structured processes in active jobsite environments. Technicians are the face of the company in the field and must communicate clearly with customers, teammates, and management.

Key Responsibilities:
Jobsite Setup and Customer Interaction:
  • Check in with customer or site contact upon arrival.
  • Review job scope, notes, and drying logs before starting work.
  • Wear required PPE and confirm safe working conditions.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful presence at all times.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Capture consistent before/after photos at all work stages.
  • Document new damage, changes, and customer concerns.
  • Record daily moisture readings (affected vs. unaffected areas).
  • Compare readings to prior visits and report issues immediately.
  • Upload photos, notes, and logs before leaving the jobsite.

Equipment Monitoring:
  • Verify operation of air movers, dehumidifiers, and related equipment.
  • Inspect hoses, drains, filters, and electrical connections.
  • Adjust equipment placement for optimal drying performance.
  • Add/remove equipment based on job progress.
  • Record serial numbers and placement locations.

Water Mitigation Services (If Applicable):
  • Identify and stop source of water intrusion when possible.
  • Extract standing water using company equipment.
  • Remove unsalvageable materials per scope of work.
  • Set up drying equipment and containment systems.

Fire and Smoke Restoration (If Applicable):
  • Identify smoke type and contamination level.
  • Perform soot removal and surface cleaning.
  • Assist with deodorization procedures.
  • Support board-up or emergency stabilization services.

Mold Remediation (If Applicable):
  • Maintain containment and negative air systems.
  • HEPA vacuum and clean affected areas.
  • Safely remove and dispose of contaminated materials.
  • Follow all remediation and safety protocols.

Safety and Site Maintenance:
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free job sites.
  • Protect unaffected areas and customer belongings.
  • Ensure proper containment and debris disposal.

Communication:
  • Provide clear daily updates to customers when required.
  • Report delays, safety issues, or job concerns immediately.
  • Document access changes or scheduling issues.

End-of-Day Procedures:
  • Confirm all equipment is operating correctly.
  • Secure property before leaving.
  • Complete final walkthrough and required documentation.

Immediate Reporting Requirements:
Report to management immediately if any of the following occur:
  • Moisture levels are not improving.
  • Equipment malfunction or failure.
  • Visible mold growth or expansion.
  • Safety or structural concerns.
  • Customer complaints or escalation issues.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs consistently.
  • Comfortable working in wet, damaged, or confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces, etc.).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and complete documentation accurately.
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
  • IICRC certification preferred (WRT, ASD, FSRT, AMRT, or equivalent).

Work Environment:
  • Residential and commercial job sites.
  • Exposure to water, mold, smoke, debris, and construction conditions.
  • PPE required (provided by company).
